Series – HIR
The Inventum Induction Heater Model HIR-25/40 is designed specifically for the removal and mounting of the Inner Races of Cylindrical Roller Bearings used on the Railway Rolling Stock Axles and in Traction Motors. Other industries may also use the equipment for similar applications.
PRINCIPLE:
This produces an oscillating magnetic field that causes a current in the component as Alternating Current (A.C) flows through a coil wrapped around a component. The magnetic field follows the path of least resistance and the outer perimeter of the part is heated faster than the core due to the skin effect as well. Based on the above theory, a shrunk ring mounted on the shaft is heated faster, creating a temperature difference between the two. The temperature difference will cause the ring to expand to a stage that can easily be dismantled and overcome interference.
