Item description

A reputable and trustworthy industry, Shree Venktesh Wires and Steels Pvt Limited operates as an exporter, distributor, and supplier of industrial goods on a global scale. Along with providing timely executed, great quality value-added, and sales-after services, we also provide high-grade SS 317/SS 317L plates to customers across the world.

These days, the product is adaptable and has a wide range of uses in a variety of global sectors. Based on the crystalline structure, this plate grade can be divided into ferritic, austenitic, and martensitic steel. Together with Jindal Stainless Limited, we produce Stainless Steel 317/317L Plates/Sheets and various stainless steel grades to satisfy the needs of all of our clients.
Its strength and corrosion resistance make stainless steel 317 a common material in the textile industry. Other applications include the manufacturing of chemical equipment and the machines used in the pulping paper.

Stainless Steel 317L is a low-carbon version of SS 317. The metal maintains its high strength and strong corrosion resistance; however, the carbon content does have several effects. 317L (UNS S31700) has greater strength under welding; its products are stronger.

Stainless steel 317L, like 317, does not respond to heat treatments or hardening. When hot working, the metal should preferably be heated to a temperature between 2100 and 2300°F. The metal will become inactive when temperatures fall below 1700°F. In high-temperature locations with high rates of chemical corrosion, creep, and stress-to-rupture, 317L is beneficial for these reasons.

In chemical conditions, 317L (UNS S31700) is frequently used. In environments with acids, such as those with acidic chloride, it has proven to be useful. Corrosion caused by these compounds won't affect the metal. Therefore, it is typical to find 317L in machinery used in pulp and paper mills.

Features of Stainless Steel 317/317L Plates/Sheets
An increase in creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures
Able to maintain clean surfaces
Good Formability & Weldability
Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion making 317L a successful life-cost product in a variety of highly corrosive environments.
