Hearing Test Evaluation - Mumbai

A complete hearing examination is a non-invasive hearing test conducted with the assistance of an audiologist. Here's what you may expect if you book a thorough hearing evaluation at WWMG. An Otoscope will be used by one of our trained Audiologists to check your eardrums. Then, in a soundproof test booth, you'll put on headphones and listen to and respond to a sequence of descending loudness noises.

You may be asked to raise your hand, press a button, or repeat what you heard via the headphones at times. Throughout the test, your hearing thresholds for each pitch and ear are recorded on a graph known as an audiogram. In addition to this exam, your audiologist may prescribe further tests to assess the health of your middle and inner ear function.

Hearing Loss Types

Conductive hearing loss is caused by issues with ear structures such as the ear canal, eardrum, or middle ear bones.
Sensorineural Hearing Loss — Hearing loss caused by nerves in the inner ear.
Mixed hearing loss is a mix of conductive and sensorineural hearing loss caused by structural injury to the inner, middle, or outer ear or damage to the auditory nerve.
